summer reading

I’m trying to cram a whole bunch of reading into these last few weeks of summer and taking stock of the little that I did read in June and July.

Here are a couple old-man books I recommend to those with old-man interests like civil war history and/or hard boiled crime novels.

1861 by Adam Goodheart and The Bayou Trilogy by Daniel Woodrell.

Paper bag masks created at the High Museum in Atlanta. The mask that likes “Boys under the age of 6” and “Dry grass” belongs,¬†unsurprisingly, to a certain Creepy Animal.

A sheer red polyester tunic with a rhinestone collar. Which I am totally keeping.
