bar of the day

New Orleans Bar.pdf (1 page)-1

I owe the city of San Francisco $600 in parking fines. Um, I know it’s the a.m., but I need a drink. And a new place to park my car. Oh, and F the DPT.

In mostly unrelated news – welcome to “bar of the day” a regularly recurring series in which I post pictures of bars – public and private – that this liquor loving rarface admires the most.

Bar the first (pictured above) belongs to Rebecca Singley of New Orleans and was featured in dearly departed Domino last fall. As you can see from the caption – this bar used to be a desk. Ah, for a desk like this. Shelves full of booze and silver and paper lanterns. And someones been hard at work here, most of these bottles are less than half full – that’s what I like to see!

Well-stocked, well-loved, well-used, Ms. Singley’s home bar is warm and inviting and perfect.  Like a hug!  From an alcoholic.
