Blog is back! Here are pictures from a hike I took this weekend. AN 8 MILE HIKE. That’s a long hike. But when it’s this beautiful the whole way you don’t whine. You just take camera phone pictures and think about how lucky we California peeps are.

Holla at your boys, friday! Today is the day I decided that i hate salads and I love lattes. So there, little green things. Now I live off coffee and sandwiches and crisp white wine.
Here are some pictures of bikes in trees at this year’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park. This festival was fun, but I didn’t stay long. Things went downhill after I spilled beer on someone’s eyeball.

I’m spending all my free time today trying to finish On the Road. I didn’t like it very much in high school, but I’m enjoying it now. Why? Because, now I am a beatnik.
If you were on the road in America these days, you’d drive by a fair share of abandoned or foreclosed homes. The Detroit houses pictured above are from the blog Sweet Juniper. You can see more of them there.

Originally I posted a Foxy Brown video here, but Foxy didn’t play well with others, so she’s been replaced with Alain Delon. That’s all folks.

I returned from L.A. Suday to find my basil in full bloom. Too bad I had to pinch off all the pretty flowers so the plant will keep producing delicious leaves. The flowers, though, are edible, so I saved them to drop into my pasta tonight. I may drop a few into my martini as well.
do you look at the big picture?

The Big Picture, Boston.com’s almost- daily bit of photojournalism, is one of my favorite things on the internet.
east germans – just like us

they got drunk outside!

they told skin heads to piss off!

they stored shit in their hallways!

they banned normal people from entering nice places like this!

they loved the beach! Even in the winter!
kind of obsessed with: Tom Palumbo
Italian photographer and director.

red means stop

yellow chair means chill

green means go check out more of Palumbo
Here’s his official bio.
And here’s his official flickr with lots, lots, lots more amazing stuff. “Paris 1962” set particularly recommended
